Studio Art students engage in a comprehensive two-dimensional and three-dimensional visual art experience. The studio art curriculum involves studio practice, immersion in a broad selection of art history classes and an opportunity to exhibit artwork annually in the Edgewood College DeRicci Gallery. From foundations to upper-level studio courses, students work closely with the faculty to develop their skills and learn to approach their creative process as unique individuals.
The art department is comprised of six full-time and up to seven part-time faculty members, all of whom specialize in various areas of art. Students benefit greatly from this tremendous range of perspective and expertise. Art students at Edgewood also enjoy living and working in the artistically dynamic region of Madison.
