Graphic Design is a problem-solving process used to visually communicate to an audience in an effective and engaging way. Graphic designers may be involved in designing advertisements, promotional pieces (brochures, catalogs, annual reports), branding and identity, information design, websites, animations, etc. Designers can choose between diverse media to create and deliver their design pieces--print, web, television, or movies.

Graphic Design is a preprofessional program which emphasizes excellence in design and technology, while maintaining a strong footing in traditional studio art. Starting from introductory-level courses, students are immersed in industry standard software, while creating real world projects for real clients. Advanced students are encouraged to seek internships, join and network with industry professional groups, and enter design competitions. Our design lab is outfitted with current professional software and equipment: Mac Pros, CS4, Adobe Font Folio, a PS3 color laser printer and large format archival inkjet.
